Energetic Jewels and Colors

Energetic Jewels and Colors

Harmony in Green
I have always been greatly influenced by color..and I think that is one of the main reasons that I paint and create jewelry. I can revel in the colors and experiment with their mixtures and nuances...its a joy, in a word!
I, like many people these days, am getting very interested in alternative healing and vital in general.
And I do know that color does affect one's feelings, moods, and emotions, although often in a subconscious manner..

As you may already know, colors are certain wavelengths of electro-magnetic energy seen through our eyes. The color we see is the part of the visible spectrum that is reflected back by a certain object, and every color has an energy property and vibratory rate.

Colors have a symbolic meaning which is immediately recognized by our subconsciousness. It must be said that not all colors mean the same to all persons and all cultures.
They influence the flow and amount of energy in our bodies.

When designing the jewelry and putting colors together for instance, in my Harmony Collection, I have used several color pallets for specific energetic purposes: some of this information comes from Color Therapy - Chromotherapy

Each color group effects certain energies:

Green:
Healing properties: Green is the color of Nature and the earth. It is balance and harmony in essence and possesses a soothing influence upon both mind and body.

Blue:
Healing properties: Blue is cooling, electric, astringent. Dr. Edwin Babbitt, in his classic, "The Principles of Light and Color," states that "The Blue Ray is one of the greatest antiseptics in the world."

Indigo:
Healing properties: Indigo is a great purifier of the bloodstream and also benefits mental problems. It is a freeing and purifying agent.
Indigo combines the deep blue of devotion with a trace of stabilizing and objective red. Indigo is cool, electric, and astringent.

Violet / Purple:
Healing properties: These are colors of transformation.  They heal melancholy, hysteria, delusions and alcohol addiction and bring spiritual insights and renewal. These colors slow down an over-active heart; stimulate the spleen and the white blood cells (immunity). Bring sleep. Soothe mental and emotional stress. Decrease sexual activity. Decrease sensitivity to pain. They help in detoxification.

Leonardo da Vinci proclaimed that you can increase the power of meditation ten-fold by meditating under the gentle rays of Violet, as found in Church windows.

Orange
Healing properties: Orange is warm, cheering, non-constricting. Orange has a freeing action upon the body and mind, relieving repressions. Orange shows new possibilities and other options in life. Stimulates creative thinking and enthusiasm, and helps assimilate new ideas.
Taking color a step further and adding the properties of gems and crystals , I believe you have a very interesting and powerful means of changing the energies. Here are some of the metaphysical properties according to Beadage

Aquamarines
Metaphysical Properties
Aquamarine is said to do many things metaphysically; it is often thought of as a universal sign of hope, health, and youth
This beautiful stone is supposed to help with anxiety, fear, and restlessness by creating a peaceful stillness like the flow of a forest stream.
Wearing Aquamarine earrings is said to bring love and affection

Amethyst
Metaphysical Properties
Amethyst - increases vivid dreams, relieves depression, promotes calm, serenity, and spirituality. Helps with addiction and stress.

Fluorite
Metaphysical Properties
Fluorite (multicolor) - enhances spiritual energy work, focuses the will and balances the psyche.

Topaz
Metaphysical Properties
Topaz - soothes physical pain, promotes peace and calms emotions, as well as promoting forgiveness. Promotes individuality, self-confidence, and creativity. Counteracts negative emotions.

I mentioned only a few of the properties I have found, and think that by combining the colors and the stones together, I believe you can have a powerful assistance in changing your energies. Of course theres the added plus of a beautiful jewel to wear as well! Or the other way around if one prefers!

Learning the ropes

I'd like to tell everyone who is interested in learning about internet marketing some of my most recent experiences, in hopes that this can encourage those who would like to learn more about working online, to take some of the steps I did!

I have been learning how to utilize the internet for sales of my artwork and recently I have been also selling vintage clothing, jewelery and accessories, not just your usual internet stuff...

Once I photographed the vintage stuff, I posted them on 2 different sites;

Etsy http://www.etsy.com/shop/Gemma2010

and Vintage Network

http://vintagenetwork.ning.com/profile/GemmaInsinna

All of my know-how ( so far) I owe to the fact that almost 4 months ago I joined an internet marketing community called 12Second Commute.

It is truly a community, because I have been learning how to use their software tools to build my home marketing business , and I can definately say that I have taken full advantage of their online interactive conferences and skype chats to ask questions and follow their instructions and advice .

For example, I learned about the Capture Page Creator tool, and went and made a capture page for 2 separate projects of mine, and began posting the links on my Face Book and Twitter. It was easy, and fun too!

This one is about my watercolors  I do from your favorite photo

http://www.12path.com/PB/12wccp/

I started blogging to get the word out about 12sc, because I signed on as an affiliate, marketing their system, which practically markets itself once you take a look and see how it builds around the tools and the info to guide you on your way!

I went on to blog about my art, and my parents art,

http://www.gemmainsinna.net/blog/

and have continued to progress daily toward my goal of marketing diverse products and creations online. Whenever I get stuck or need advice as to how best to proceed , I can post a question in the 12sc skype chat and someone will always respond, or I can contact my sponsor or directly contact customer support and receive help very fast, usually from Darryl Graham the owner !

Even this Posterous blog is a direct result of yet another conference class!

I will continue to tie things together here and make announcements and posts !

Thanks for reading this!

All the best,

Gemma Insinna

More Tools! Why do we Need a URL Rotator?

I would like to talk about the URL Rotator, and why we need to learn how to use it in our arsenal of tools for internet marketing! Especially if we are learning as we go, and working at home to build an online business!

For those who may not have an idea as to what exactly a URL Rotator is, like me a few months ago, I will give you the basics, and we can go from there...

The Rotator is a software system that allows you to post one main URL link on a site, but rotate and view multiple programs or services within that one link.

So instead of having different links to different Capture Pages, or Splash pages, and having to post and change them manually, it is all totally programmed and automatic--set it up, very easily I might add, and let it do it's thing......a different page will be seen each time your link is opened.

Think of the creative possibilities! If you have a business with many products, or even if you have many completely different businesses!
You can set up your rotator with as many as 10 links to different pages, and if you use the system I am using, The 12 Second Commute, you can have unlimited Rotators if you are an Elite subscriber member , but even if you are an Exectutive member, for less than $10 a month, you can have as many as 3 !

Another function of the URL Rotator is to help your downline. If you have a downline program, you can place your referral URL in a Rotator, and add the referral URL's of your downline as well. Then, each time your Rotator link is clicked on, you or one of your downline's pages will be shown.
So this is a great way of encouraging your your downlines to follow along with your promos!

You can also use it to sell co-op advertising, which are paid ads shared by multiple persons--each person who wants to take part is placed in the Rotator , and all have a chance at sign ups for that particular product.

You can set up your Rotator with URL priority links, or it can be random, you decide for each product and set up.

When you are setting up your Rotator , remember to give each system a specific name that you will know exactly what it is.
Select the priority of rotation, and add the links...it's that simple!
Internet marketing with the right tools can make all the difference between success and failure!

When adding your links, remember each separate URL description is important, put the name of the specific program, or service.
For Target URL's , enter the name of the referral URL--the program or person, click and verify always!

In the URL Rotator of The 12Second Commute, you can always add a new URL, delete the ones not in use or that have been cancelled for whatever reason, you can check stats , reset them, and just play around with them until you see and understand the function--it's a very powerful tool to multi task your online marketing, and a super way to keep it organized and totally at your fingertips!

Tools and more Tools! What's a Capture Page and what will it do for you?

Working online at home is a wonderful goal to reach for and to attain. It is a job that you can hire yourself for,and develop as you go, and as you learn.
You don't have to be a techy to start and you can start from whatever level of internet experience you have.

With the help of internet marketing set ups like the comprehensive one that I use, The 12 Second Commute, you can start off with a wide base of tools, all you'll ever need, that will organize you and your new business from day one.

I have talked about Autoresponders and Capture Pages in my previous blogs, but now I'd like to take a closer look at the Capture Page Creator and tell you what it is and how it works.

I feel it is a great tool for those like myself who have various products that they want to promote and sell in addition to a website, or on even just on their own.

Capture Pages are like little flags that go here and there on the internet. And are especially helpful to add to twitter or other social network profile pages.

Actually you should put the url links everywhere you can possibly imagine putting them, to promote your product or service, or even to simply announce a new venue.

Once you have your product all set, and even if you are an affiliate of a company and selling or promoting their product, you can design your very own Capture Page with the tools in the Capture Page Creator.

There are ready made Templates for your layout, and also an Editor to help with type face, colors, and to add photos and images. It's all there at your disposal, complete with instructions.

With your 12SC Capture Page Creator center you can create great pages that can easily be tied directly into your 12 SC Autoresponder so you can start building your prospect list.

I have to say, I needed a little help with the photo layouts at first , but I got the help I needed immediately from the customer support, from the owner and creator of The 12 Second Commute, and from others experienced in utilizing the editor.

Whether you want a simple capture page or a dynamic page with images and multiple forms or links, your 12SC capture page center can accommodate your needs!

It does not matter how good your Autoresponder messages are or what you are promoting, if you have a bad capture page, nobody will ever see your main site or read your AR messages.

You'll want the best and most professional looking capture page possible and then you'll want to advertise it everyplace you can.

With 12 SC, there is step by step guidance and advice to get you moving ever in the right direction.

The main thing to remember is that if you not only have the right tools but also the backup instructions to guide you through their correct usage. You will grow your business rapidly and on a solid ground, which is what we all want to do!

So in closing, I'd like to add that there is no limit to what you can do, once you understand the basics and have the tenacity to keep growing and learning about what you can do on the internet!

It's always evolving, always growing, so there are always new opportunities to explore, and plenty of places to research your interests and develop your product or service in an area that you'll want to live with day in and day out!

Which makes those Capture Pages even more fun to create!

This to say , don't pick an area or a good product that bores you to death! Remember, it's a job, and you'll be putting in your hours like any other!

More people are getting involved in online businesses at home, why?

One of the biggest reasons-- beside the fact that you become your own boss and develop your own interests and inclinations within a money making structure--is also because more people are reaching out to embrace the internet and feel they can really do business there. Both as a customer and also as a vendor of goods or services. And one can do this an ordinary person, not only as an internet guru!

We are all beginning to realize this, and thus the world is a different and more connected place. We are reaching out on a one to one basis and this makes for a better world, as far as I'm concerned. And maybe even a more honest one too!

People want to reach out by nature, and when they feel more secure because they have developed a familiarity and a history of some sort of business interaction--whether it be a successful sale on ebay, or a series of payments perfectly received through Pay Pal, or even just connecting in groups on the social networking sites..it builds a foundation to branch out ever further into unchartered but carefully controlled waters. Bit by bit.

When looking to start out, I am not talking about signing up for those emails that promise you the world and tons of money on your first click...I am talking about the friendships that can be made and the reciprocal respect and actual bonding that can develop even between total strangers, when building the business on a solid foundation!

I personally signed up with an internet marketing service that basically is selling what I consider to be the best software system for building an online business because it not only has ALL the tools and instructions, but also the support 24/7, so you really are part of a family, through conferences, and skype chats, and customer support.

That kind of service and rapport wasn't possible a few years ago...possibly because of the software, but mostly because more people are realizing that they CAN work on line and are willing to take a chance, and take the plunge.

I am an expat living in Italy. I find that it's easier to do business on line because one can work on a global basis. The global mentality is more adventurous and more avantguarde than the folks you usually meet in your area . It used to be that the immediate area offered more control, but with the organizational tools that you can have at your disposal, along with the secure back ups like Pay Pal and Clickbank, and prepaid cards etc, there's no need for those kind of limits any longer, for both buyer and seller.

Also, the certain online etiquette that is developing is an amazing thing in itself! I see that there are acceptable ways to send multiple emails and totally unacceptable ways--like when receiving something with a page full of other addresses --there's no need for that at all, and people don't like it.

In any case, the whole adventure is becomming more and more commonplace. Just a few years ago, it was less likely that you'd actually consider leaving that payckeck for an online work at home business! So I personally find that a very encouraging thing! We are really not limited to stone and mortar storefronts, and location is something we can learn to develop and become visible and viable! Not to mention that your store never closes!

Why Recommend Working at Home and Starting Your Own Online Business?

There's nothing better than knowing that your business is always at your fingertips, and you can start and stop work whenever you want to!
No boss except yourself, no commute, and no dress code either!

The best thing of all is that you can market anything you want to, or love, or have an interest in. It may be just something you've always wanted to know more about---and now can actually have an online business in that niche, so it's not just a hobby anymore! Make money doing what you love, and do it at home! Does it get any better than that?

So, why do I advocate the home vs the regular paycheck scenario? Because I have worked for years in New York City, as a clothing designer, and I know all about commuting--and all about the 9 to 5 schedule. I did it for many years, and travelled all over the world , putting in 12 to 15 hr days !

When I moved to Italy I started commuting back to New York -that's a long commute-- and then after a few more years decided to stop the travelling and start working part time on design projects that I could do mostly at home. That led to illustration jobs, and then to painting--then to selling online about 3 years ago.

Now I have the right tools and the right online marketing system to get more of my work out on the internet, and I have all the instructions necessary to fully utilize the marketing system's tools . I can build my business and keep track of all my emails, and other important correspondence, make new Capture Pages, when I have a new idea , and not have to be all over the net looking for things--it's all under one roof , so to speak!

So my life has gotten alot easier thanks to the great online marketing system I am using and thanks to the freedom that working online at home gives me!

Some of the other great aspects of working at home, at least for me, have been that I can spend more time writing, which I love to do, and to post blogs like this one, and stay in touch with friends and collegues through the social networking sites . I am just learning how to do that, and it takes time-- and time is one one thing that I never had enough of before!

So, if you are thinking of taking the great leap into the world of working at home online, I would highly recommend that you do, and that you get yourself organized and set up your at home business with the right organization and the best tools .

If you are new to the internet marketing business, there are lots of ways to get started, and even for as little as $9.00 a month. You can work as an affiliate and get started learning the ropes, as I have done, and then branch out into whatever products or services you are interested in!

The most important thing to remember is to follow your dreams , because if you don't make changes that you want to make to improve whetever you want to improve--nothing will ever change!

Starting your Online Business at Home With The Right Tools ... But What Product?

How do you decide what to sell if you don't already have a product?
There is alot to be considered--but the most important thing to remember is:

People usually don't buy what they need , they buy what they want!

They seem to buy what they crave and what they are motivated to buy at the moment, thus the squeeze page has been invented!
That's another name for your Capture Page, and with that the opt-ins: buy Now ! Give me the the info Now!

The best thing about the internet business is that you are open for business 24/7! And with the tools that I am using for my business, called the Autoresponder and the Capture Page Creator, you have unlimited recources and organization at your fingertips--even templates that allow you to set up your webpage so that you are free to develop many different products and manage the various webpages you create easily. The Program Builder is another tool that will help organize it all, and once you develop your product, that's where you'll have your center of operations.

So, you can have a website up on the internet ready to present a product and process orders for as little as $9.00 a month, using the tools and the system that I am using, but how do you find this product? What is the best niche market for you? Let's consider a few things first...

First of all, you'll want to choose a topic that you are interested in--because you'll be working with it alot. Then, you'll want to choose something that will be fairly popular with alot of people.

So, what you want to do is identify your market, then find your product.
The important point is that you're looking to get involved with a specific market because you'd like to give the people what they already want, not have a really great product and convince them why they need it!

You'll want to find out what people want, maybe something really hot, or something that solves a problem for them, or helps solve a problem.
Maybe they just want to learn! Information is key! And always important.

When choosing your market, you'll want to consider if it's a big huge one, like "dogs" or a sport, or maybe you'll want to choose a small niche where your competition is less, and you can shine .

Ideally, the one thing you will want is a passionate market, hungry to buy, preferrably a large market, where people have the money to spend, because they really want that item, product, or service..

Even if it is just an interest and something you know little about, you will learn as you go, so don't limit yourself to your own fields of knowledge..grow and learn as you develop your market! You don't need to be an expert--just get out there as much and as often as you can, and you will become known for that certain niche.

So, while you are getting your product out there and getting it known, you must have the building blocks to make it all work, have your emails ready to respond , have your tools working for you, growing your online business.

I'll talk more about products and tools in my next post..

Gemma Insinna
